Whirlpool Duet Washer won't spin

We recently had trouble with the washer not spinning, so the clothes would be soaking wet after a wash. We checked the drain pump for clogs, and didn't find anything in there. We called for service, and they said it sounded like the pump needed to be replaced. I bought a new pump and installed it (myself) and it still isn't spinning. Now it isn't even spinning when we try a normal wash cycle to agitate the clothes around. The drum spins fine by hand, so there isn't anything hindering it from spinning physically. If you listen, you can hear a "humming" sound, like the washer knows it should be spinning, but nothing happens. Any ideas? I'm pretty frustrated because we haven't been able to wash clothes for about a week now, and the thought of going to a laundry mat is not appealing at all. I thought the new drain pump was going to fix it! It is a Whirlpool Duet, model GHW9250MQ0.

mine drians but it gives an error code 02 F beeps then finishes now and then is there a manual explaining the codes

Yes, it drains just fine, which makes me believe there isn't something stuck in any of the drain lines or anything. I checked the drive belt, and that was fine. Well, I have another appointment for a repairperson to come out on Tuesday(for free, since their last solution set me back $125 for the new drain pump and didn't work), I'll let you know what I find out. I'm hoping it is something cheap!

Turns out it was a bad Motor Controller card. We replaced that and it works great again. Thanks!

The washer completely cycles but when you take the clothes out they are soaking wet. We had the Sear Service out and they stated the rear bearings are shot. The repair would cost around $1000, service tech is recommending we replace the unit.

Sounds like the whirling noise is the pump, pumping. Does it drain at all? Check the drive belt and make sure that it is not broken. This system uses a drive belt with a clutch system to agitate back and forth. The clutch system could be bad as well.

This might not be a cheap fix, these are the main components of the system

Possible Defective washer transmission. Do you overload the washer with heavy items like towels or blue jeans very often? That can cause early failure.

Clothes soaking wet after washer is done

There is either a problem with the drain or spin cycle. Before the spin cycly starts, ensure that the water drains fully. If it does, then it may either be the belt slipping or the timer malfunctioning. If there is water in the tub when it starts spinning, then you have a blockage in the drain line.
