My skype sound keeps fading in and out.

Sometimes I'm very loud and clear and then a few seconds later it sounds as if I'm miles away

Change skype sound setting. TO do that :
Take Tools from the menu bar.
Then select options.
When a new window opens choose audio Setting.
Then below microphone volume untick - "Automatically adjust microphone setting".
Then drag the volume to maximum.

This did not work for me. After unticking the automatic volume adjustment for the mike, the test call still faded out. I do a count during the test, usually 1- 14 or so. The sound starts to fade after "2" and becomes pretty much inaudible by "5." Help! I need this for work.

This did not work for me. Unticking the automated volume control for the mike in Tools >> options did not help. During the test call, I count from 1 to 14. The sound starts strong but starts to fade after "2," and is pretty much inaudible after "5." In real calls, other folks on the call can hear only the first couple of words I say, then it's dead air. Please help, I need this for work!

Loud ticking noise when first staring, engine stalls sometimes when starting it unless I hold the gas pedal down

The TPS would be what I would do had that problem once myself solved the problem. as for the ticking noise sounds like a lifter is bleeding down as long as the noise goes away you will be ok. But may I suggest that if you are going to keep the vehicle for awhile longer you might want to have a set of lifters put in it.

2009 crv check fuel cap

Go to the parts store where you bought the cap. Sometimes the code clears on it's own and sometimes you need to have it reset. If this is not an option disconnect the negative battery cable for a minute. Just as a warning, if you disconnect the battery you will have to reprogram most all of your electronics.

What source(s)? Verify the speaker setup with the test tones to prove the hardware is all okay. Then go back and evaluate the conditions that create the problem. It could be an external cause.

Loud noise

Bad capacitors. See the "how too" to replace the bad capacitors and it'll work fine again.
