Ok its in the right slot. I dont believe that there is software that came with this model of microphone (Labtec AM-242). Trying to get it to work so family can talk to military family overseas.
• Check all connections for the "(type of microphone)" , make sure the microphone switch is set to the microphone button.
• If you are running windows® 95 or later, check the microphone volume settings.
1. Go to the start button, All programs, Accessories, Entertainment(multimedia), then Volume control.
2. Make sure the microphone volume isn't set to mute.
3. go to options, then Properties..., select the button next to Recording
4. go to start button, All Programs, Accessories, Entertainment(multimedia), then click on Sound recorder to test your microphone.
Hope that helped!
