The phone shut off and restarted itself without me touching it, and when I tried to get off the home screen, it wont respond to me touching it. I tried to turn it off but that won't work either. What should I do?
SOURCE: My T Mobil Samsung Galaxy T cell phone's touch screen will not operate.
It is possible that the phone has hung up because there are errors in the software. So to reset remove the battery and the memory card from the phone. Using your PC , scan the memory card for any corrupt files or media files with virus- it is possible when they are downloaded from unsafe sites. If so remove or format the card. Copy only valid files to the card and do a scan before it is replaced. Now replace the card and battery and switch on the phone. If the phone hangs up or is slow when it is switched ON , then it is possible that the fault is relative to the software and will need a reinstallation. Possible hardware issue cannot be ruled out.
My son's had dropped his t-mobile so many times it did the same thing. I was able to order the touch screen from amazon for $18 then I looked up on YouTube how to replace the screen and it was very easy to replace by watching the video. I think this is the cheapest fix for your problem.
