Printer Question: How would one go about disabling the separation page on a Lexmark MS810?

Hi. It's most likely a driver issue. If you look through the driver settings, you will probably find an option for turning separation pages on and off. If you can't find the setting in the driver, look for it in the printers setup menu.

Good luck..

Whenever I print from there is an extra page that prints after that includes: Filename: Directory: Template: Title: Author: Keywords: Comments: Creation Date: Change Number: Last Saved on: Last...

when you go to "print" a box should open asking if you want to print "all" or "pages" . click on "page" and then click "1" then you wont get the trailing page.

Every time I print, the printer feeds an extra blank page after every printed page. How do I get it to stop this?

I have an HP D7360 Photosmart that has been doing the exact same thing. This has been driving me crazy, especially when I have to print a lot of pictures at once or a long report.
After uninstalling and reinstalling the printer a dozen times, installing every possible driver I could find for it, and even swapping out the USB cable (who knows...stranger things have been the cause of problems!!), I just found the fix for this.
Go to the Properties page of the printer (for mine, I open the printer, click "Printer", then select "Properties"), then go to the Advanced tab. At the bottom are a few checkboxes, one of them being "Enable advanced printing features". I unchecked this and do not have the problem with the extra page.
I am not really sure, at this point, what else may be turned off, but just printed a test page and WOOOHOO...no more blank page came out right after it.
Hope this helps you and that the "advanced printing features" aren't something that negatively impacts your and my ability to print quality pictures and documents.
I love this printer otherwise. Amazing picture quality!!!

Printing problem

ISSUE: A blank page prints after every print job using an HP LaserJet series printer. SOLUTION: A separator page may be turned on in the printer driver, within the application, or on the network. Try printing from several applications. If a page prints out in only one application, that application may have a summary page selected to print out. If a page prints out from different applications, a separator page may be turned on in Windows or on the network. Use the following sections to turn off separator pages. Windows 95/98/Me Follow these steps to turn off the separator page in Windows 95/98/Me:
  1. Select Start .
  2. Select Settings .
  3. Select Printers .
  4. Highlight the appropriate HP LaserJet printer icon.
  5. Select File .
  6. Select Properties .
  7. In the section labeled Separator Page, select None .
  8. Click Apply .
  9. Click OK .
Windows NT 4.0/2000 Follow these steps to turn off the separator page in Windows NT4.0/2000
  1. Select Start .
  2. Select Settings .
  3. Select Printers .
  4. Highlight the appropriate HP LaserJet printer icon.
  5. Select File .
  6. Select Properties .
  7. In the Advanced tab, select the Separator Page button.
  8. Delete the location for the separator page.
  9. Select OK .
Windows XP Follow these steps to turn off the separator page in Windows NT4.0/2000
  1. Select Start .

  6. In the Advanced tab, select the Separator Page button.
  7. Delete the location for the separator page.
  8. Select OK .
Software or applications See documentation for the specific application that is printing a separator page. The following steps are an example of how to turn off the summary page in Microsoft(R) Word 97:
  1. Open Word 97 .
  2. Select File .
  3. Select Print .
  4. Select Options .

Novell environments Banner pages can be sent to the printer in several different ways in a Novell environment. The following instructions detail several ways to disable the banner page. NOTE: Banner pages can also be sent from the HP Jetdirect device itself. This page can be enabled and disabled through a telnet session to the HP Jetdirect device. The telnet banner will only print in an lpd/unix ® environment. Novell's Capture Command To disable a banner page using a Novell DOS capture command at a system prompt, type the following commands: capture L=x Q=queuename NFF NB NT TI=x where:
  • L = x -- The value of x would be 1, 2 or 3 depending on the lpt port being used.
  • Q = queuename - The value of the queuename would be the Novell queue setup for this printer.
  • NFF -- No form feed.
  • NB -- No Banner.
  • NT -- No Tabs
  • TI = x -- The value of x would be the timeout amount in seconds. NOTE: If the client workstation is restarted, and if a capture command is part of a login script that is being used, these settings will be reset.
Printer Properties The banner page for Novell networks can also be enabled or disabled in the Printer Properties using the following steps:
  1. To open the Printers Folder ; click Start , Settings, and Printers .
  2. Right-click the appropriate HP LaserJet printer icon and select Properties .
  3. Select the Printer Settings , or Capture Settings tab. The banner page can be enabled or disabled here.
NetWare Clients Follow these steps to disable the banner page for Novell NetWare clients:
  1. Right-click Network Neighborhood and select Properties .
  2. Select the Configuration tab in the Network window.
  3. Highlight Novell NetWare Client and select Properties .
  4. Select the Default Capture tab. The banner can be enabled or disabled here.
