How to calculate the standard deviation? casio power graphic fx-7400G Plus

Here are the capabilities of the Casio calculators.
The screen captures may not look like ones taken from the FX-7400G
plus display but the instructions are accurate.
In stat enter the values in List1 and the frequencies in List2 (if doing paired variable statistics)
Press the key corresponding to the CALC tab

Press the 1-var tab and you get the results as seen on the screen with title 1-variable.
Other screens show some two-variable stats or regressions.

Use you knowledge of sample standard deviations and
population standard deviation to select which is relevant to your case.
They are given by xsigma-n and xSigma n-1

How can i do standard deviation on my calculator

Click on the Mode button twice until you see “SD”. Select 1. This puts the calculator in Statistics Mode. image001.gif Enter the first number, 1.
image001.gif Hit the M+. (n= 1 will appear in the window)
image001.gif Enter the second number, 1.
image001.gif Hit the M+ key. (n=2 will appear in the window)
image001.gif . . . . .
image001.gif Enter the last number, 7.
image001.gif Hit the M+ key. (n=7 will appear in the window)
image001.gif Hit shift, 2. (This invokes the S-Var option.)
image001.gif Hit 1 for the sample mean. Hit Enter.

Trying to find standard deviation on the calculator

I took statistics last semester and I don't really remember how, but after you enter your data, you press SHIFT, then STAT (on the 1 key), then I think it's under 5 (VAR), and maybe Xon-1? Eh, funny how long you remember this stuff for....

1. Turn calc. on or press MODE SeTUP
2.Press 3 for STAT
3. Press 1 for VAR
4.Enter values for X column
5. WHen done entering press SHIFT 1
6.Press 5
7.Press 2 to calculate the mean
