Just moved last weekend. RCA TV 27V414T was unplugged for 3 days. Now the input button does not work on the remote or tv. Picture quality and sound works good, but can not switch to watch dvd's. I unplugged the tv for 3+ hours and it still will not work. Any suggestions?

Using the menu button on the t.v. set an alarm for 1 min in the future. have the t.v change to channel 00 or the input channel @ that time. turn off the t.v and wait until the alarm turns the t.v on.

I used to have an older RCA TV. There was no obvious button or switch to change to the A/V jacks. RCA used a specific channel in the 90's to view VCR's or external inputs through the A/V jacks. I can't remember the specific channel, but I suggest trying every channel from 90 to 99 while you have your DVD player hooked-up and running. Good luck!

The original remote had a button labeled INPUT on it that switched the set from TV to INPUT (RCA jacks). Look for a button labeled INPUT on the universal remote. If the universal remote does not have an INPUT button, then I usually find that the button labeled TV/VCR does the same thing. Of course, be sure the universal is set to the proper code for your TV.

I have a similar problem... bought a refurbished 27" RCA TrueFlat, and it didn't come with a remote that has an Input button. I bought a universal remote to cover this. However, I did find a way of changing inputs using only the panel channel buttons:

Change the channel to 02. Then, press Channel - and you will be able to cycle through the inputs.

SOURCE: I have a rca truflat tv but lost the remote. How

You can usually purchase an RCA universal remote at a discout mall. Just be sure your new RCA remote has an input button! The older models made in 1993 and 1994 would require you press 00. Not so on the newer ones. Good Luck and thanks for asking!

SOURCE: RCA model F27252GY TV has no Video button or AUX channel for DVD

try putting the tv on channel 00, that is where this tv apparently shows the input from at least one on the video channels.

SOURCE: rca tv model f35673mb - lost remote.... switch to video ???/

I asume your game systems and dvd player are hooked up via the rca inputs. So all you would need to do is purchase a universal remote, program it for your tvand press ch00 which should be the video input.make sure your dvd or game system is on so you know if you are on the right channel

Trying to hook up an emerson dvd player to tv and its not working? older tv it has no cable hook up or control box for channel set up, shouldnt the dvd player still be able to work though?

IM GUESSING THIS MIGHT BE AN RCA TELEVISION? if you dont have an rca in hook up on the tv give up and buy a new tv or you can find an older item what it is is a switch that has an rca input and a coax output it was used to hook up the older video game systems it is still sold in most stores and that will work if you do have rca inputs and lost the remote you need to get a universal remote to switch the input on certain older rca tv's you could go to channel 00 and it would set it to the input with the switch you shoudl be able to use it by putting the tv on channel 3

Auxillary channel for dvd

You need to determine what output options your DVD player has. Take a look at the rear of the player. It will certainly have RCA jacks for video and audio outputs (yellow for video, red and white for right and left channel audio). It may also have RCA jacks for component video (marked Y, Pb and Pr). Finally, it may have a threaded connector marked "out to TV" or "antenna out" or something similar. This is called RF output.

Most players today don't offer RF output because nearly every TV has direct AV inputs available. If your DVD player has RF output, connect the output connector to the TVs antenna input. You need a coaxial cable with F-connectors on the ends. One may have been supplied with the player. RF output is on channel 3 or 4, set by a switch on the back of the player or by its on-screen setup. Just set the TV to that channel to watch a DVD.

If your player doesn't have RF output, you connect it to the TV using the AV jacks. You need cables with RCA plugs to to connect the video and audio from the player to the TV. Then you switch the TV to its video input to watch the DVD.

This is where you might run into problems. Many TVs need the original remote control to switch inputs. (Some older RCA sets used channels 90, 91 and 92 to switch to their video inputs so any remote would work, but these sets were made before 125-channel tuning became standard. If your set is one of those models, those are the auxiliary channels you heard about.) If you can't switch the set to video input with front panel buttons and you don't have the right remote, you're not completely out of luck.

If you can't use your set's AV inputs or it just doesn't have any, you need an RF converter. These cost around $15. They take the audio and video from the DVD player and convert it to channel 3 or 4. Then you hook that output to your TV as described above.

Remote doesn't work rca model #F32648,i can't access the input function. The onscreen menu doesn't show it or I cannot find it. Problem is without it I can not use the DVD player.

This isn't a solution but I am unable to acccess the input either. My tv is hooked to a dvd,vcr and direct tv satellite with a dvr. I watched a movie on the dvd and the tv won;t allow me to switch the input back to satellite tv.

RE; Remote control TV/AV button doesn't work LXI series

Hi, Based on your post/description: 1. the TV is stuck to A/V; 2. you have two video sources - VHS & DVD (assuming both are external and both have A/V outputs with the VCR also with inputs); 3. you want to use either VHS & DVD, one at a time. You can do it the old fashion way, remove yellow, red, white RCA connectors from DVD and plug them at the outputs of the VHS when you want to use the VCR; or Connect the A/V outputs of the DVD to the inputs of the VCR, connect the outputs of the VCR to the A/V inputs of the LXI TV. Hopes this give you an idea. Post back how things are or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
