My manual tv controls don't work on the tv or cablr remote

on some universal remotes, you can turn on the tv manually, then push search on the remote.. it will flash the light on the remote face when it finds the code.. then push the power on/off and see if the tv turns off..if it does, the rest of the funtions should work..

check your remote manual if it don`t work you might have to get another uv remote that work!!!

Have you checked your remote to see if its working? If you have a digital camera or camera phone, point the remote at the lense and see if it shows up on camera screen. If it is working then the IR sensor on the tv could be bad.

GOOGLE THE MODEL NUMBER OF THE SET (IF ORIGINAL REMOTE) WITH "manual" which would get the owner manual to do this.

Each set is different in this process.

U tries those codes that came with ur universal remote owner manual codes for ur tv model already.Those codes don't work for ur tv.Return the universal remote,because any codes people give will not work either.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote.

A remote is not designed to control and Moitor. They only run by the video/sound output from the pc. So I am taking it for granted that you meant TV instead of Monitor.

A. Before buying a new remote try replacing the batteries first.

B. I found the Innovage Jumbo Remote Control manual and it has no code for the Vizio TV, you will need to utilize the remote's "Code Search" option.

C. Instructions

1. Turn on the Vizio TV.
2. Aim the Jumbo Universal Remote at the Vizio TV and hold down the "Code Search" button on the remove for roughly 3 to 5 seconds. The LED lights on the Jumbo Universal Remote will come on.
3. Press the "TV" button at the top of the Jumbo Universal Remote.
4. Start pressing the "ON/OFF" button repeatedly until the Vizio TV turns off. This will likely take several minutes due to the amount of available codes.
5. Press "Enter" on the remote immediately after the Vizio TV turns off to save the code.
6. Test the Jumbo Universal Remote by trying to control the Vizio TV with the remote. If the control doesn't work with the remote, repeat the entire process.

I found the following reference to resetting anything related to the ZN110 remote:

"This remote control works well for all the basic functions on the television: changing channels, adjusting volume, and turning the set on and off. There is not a way to program the TV with the remote control, so if you need to reset the channels after a power outage, for example, you have to do it manually on the TV set itself."

Or it could just be batteries?

First, unplug the TV from the outlet, wait a few seconds and reconnect the power, try the power and the rest of the TV functions, it could be that you need a new remote, if the TV keys(located on the TV itself) do not operate still , then you will need the TV checked out by a qualified tech, in this cases the key,microprocessor or the power supply boards could be at fault, not all of them, but one of the three.

If this is a new Emerson flat panel lcd tv from Walmart, there is a chance that the remote just wont work. I've had problems with these Emerson's often with all dish network remotes. you can try doing a search on the remote itself though. Turn your tv on manually, then push the tv button on the remote and hold it until it flashes, then hit the tv power button on the remote, then push the up arrow button continuously (not to fast though) until the tv turns off and then push the # button (below the 9 button) and the remote should work. There are some new tvs' that these remotes just wont program. I hope yours works.
