To reset maintenance codes requires going into service mode. This should only be done by an authorized trained technician as changing or adjusting something in this mode could create all sorts of problems you dont want to deal with.

get into SIM mode by pressing "#" key then "interupt" key then "C" key then "interupt" key again.
enter 20 then press start - enter 01 then press start.
This will clear the main maintenance counter.
This message will self destruct in 20 years....

It worked thanks alot.
All I did was to press the #,interrupt,c,interrupt in sequence. The display then went off.
I then press the numeric keypad 1,4 and start botton in sequence.
It's fine now.

the best you can do is to replace the toner cartridge itself. It won't work if you just refill it.
