Delete character I now delete characters with backspace left to right. Is there a delete character right to left?

To delete a Message, open the Message app.
Click Edit.
An empty circle will appear to the left of each message.
Click the circle to the left of a message you want to delete.
The circle will fill-in with blue color, along with a white check mark.
At the bottom of the list, to the right, click Delete.
The message will be deleted.
Repeat this process for other messages.
You can select multiple messages first, the click Delete to delete multiple messages at the same time.

Are you saying you're writing a book? If you are writing a book, and want to delete a part of it, make sure you haven't published it yet. If you have, you will need to delete the book off the e Store, and rewrite the book. If you haven't published it yet, you're in luck. Go into the program you're using to write the book, select the area you want to delete, then press the 'delete' or 'backspace' button. Hope I helped!

Books can be deleted, when you are in the iBook app. Select a folder where books are. then on the line of a book swipe to the left and press delete when you see it.
or on the right top of the page you see select (not in a book, but in a folder) click select. on the left side of all the books you no see a little cyrcle. tag the circle from the books you want to delete. on the top left, you now see delete. press there and acknowledge.

Make sure that you're attempting to connect to the right WiFi hotspot. The tablet may be attempting to connect to a WiFi signal that different from what you expect (a neighbor's, etc.).

Once you're certain that your accessing the intended WiFi signal, attempt your password again. Depending on model tablet, you may be able to keep the password displayed as you type for review before entering to connect. If not, carefully review each character on screen after touching each to see that it is correct (not capitalized, or number or symbol instead). Backspace as needed to make corrections as needed.

After seeing that the WiFi password is being sent properly to the intended WiFi signal, you will connect.

Put the curser just after the mistake and press the backspace erase <-----< arrow key until it is deleted and then type the correction.

Not seen a manual as such but a dummy or similar guide to Android is likely to have one.

Most android keyboards including jellybean (4.2) are pretty standard.
The up arrow is shift for capitals and hold for a couple of seconds to get all caps rather than one and then return to lower case.
Bottom from right - ?123 is for numbers and symbols and it toggles.
The symbol next to it is for speaking commands rather than type.

Left arrow is carriage return or enter. Above this the x with white arrow is backspace delete. A multidot symbol toggles the keyboard on and off the screen.

Normally when you enter a field on a form the keyboard automatically appears. It also appears when you enter a browser address box etc.

Swipe left over the person's name/subject preview in the left panel, and choose delete.

Alternatively, to delete individual messages tap and hold the message, select the messages you want to delete and hit the "trash can" symbol :)

When your listed e-mail is on the left side of IPad mail, place your finger on the right side of the message and drag left and it will expose the "Delete" option. This will delete the message without opening or reading it. See attached graphic.

On the right side of the keyboard is a key with a left-pointing arrow with an 'x' in it, just above the carriage return key.
