Brewing is slow. It takes 23 minutes to brew 6 cups of coffee. We put in water to the "8" level on the water level indicator, but only 6 cups are brewed and it takes 23 minutes! What is the problem? Can we fix it?
I had this problem, slow to brew and noisy, as if it was being starved of water.Tried the cleaning method but still no joy. I took off the bottom plate using a torque screw driver. There are two rubber tubes with clips. Remove the cold water clip end and squeeze out the non-return valve. You can feel along the tube to determine which one has the valve. (take note of the way it comes out as this is important for when you re-assemble) Low and behold there were a couple of bits of unground coffee bean jammed inside the small plastic valve. Once this was cleared we were back in action.
If you have had this machine for awhile sounds like there is calcium deposits built up. Try cleaning the disbursement head as well as the tube. also run some vinegar through the system a couple of times.Let me know if this helps.

Turn the function knob to Auto Off
Hold down the hour button til you see the clock display blinking
you can then use the Hour and Minute buttons to program how long you want the coffee maker to stay on.
You can choose from 0 minutes (seems to be what you have it set on now) to 4 hours.

Replacement time. a certain percentage of thse have this problem. There is a small, non-replaceable tube in the inside toward the bottom that has become melted/damaged.

Finally, I got my coffee pot to run through without stopping several times. To fix it I had to run vinegar through eight times! Never before has it taken so many cycles to clean out a pot. It is still spluttering a bit so today I am going to get more vinegar or maybe even CLR and run it through a few more times.

Our Cuisinart grind and brew was leaving a puddle under it after making a pot of coffee. I called Cuisinart this week and it turns out the handle of the carafe has to be lined up in the middle of the opening for the carafe. It will be under the word Cuisinart, in the middle.
We have now made several pots with NO residual puddle of water or coffee. It also seems to be making the pots quicker.
Before trying this I had run 2 pots of water with 1/2 cup white vinegar in it also. But it still puddled until we lined up the carafe as noted above.

The problem is in the sensor that tells the coffee maker when the brew cycle is complete. This is a heat sensor that's clipped to the heating element. The sensor gets overly sensitive and shuts things off too soon. Since schematics and parts aren't available for this unit, it's pretty much junk after it starts to fail. You can remove the sensor, but this creates a major fire hazard. My advice is to pick up a good percolator and forget the drip units. The Grind-N-Brew makes excellent coffee, but they barely last out the warranty and the cost of replacing them mounts up. I've gone through two (same problem with both) and it's no longer worth it to me.
