Send me an email to [email protected] and I will send the manual to you right away. Please put "Brother Fax 2920 Manual" as the subject. Lawrence Brown
It is telling you the fuser unit needs replacement. Thats the heater that fuses the toner particles to the paper by heating them. If it cannot reach the correct tempurature the toner comes right off the paper.
So you will need to order a fuser wire kit to fix that error. That can be fairly expensive on a brother. I believe somewhere around $150 and up.
I can at least help you get a replacement manual. This link takes you to the downloads for your printer and you can then download the various manuals. http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/public/us/us/en/doc/manual_top.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=fax2920_us
Open the front cover.Pull out the drum and cartridge unit.Unlock the toner from the drum with the blue clip.Take the new drum remove all the pacaging material insert the toner in the new drum.Replace the drum and toner unit back in the machine. While the cover is open, press the clear button. The machine will display "Replace drum yes or no" Select Yes.Close the front cover.
If your machine is a Brother Intellifax 2920, it does take a TN-350 toner cartridge. Maybe you were wanting to replace the Drum Unit instead, DR-350. I'll bet this info is useful, yes?
Did you gently rock the toner cartridge from side to side to evenly distribute the toner?
Did the cartridge "click" into place?(did lock lever pop up when it was inserted)
Did you replace the protective cover securely?
Another thing to check is cleaning the Corona wire inside by sliding the Blue tab back and forth several times. Important to return the Blue tab back to the "Home" position afterward. If you've done ALL of these steps correctly, and the low toner message is still there, a service call is in order. Best of luck with your machine!
