RCA Tue Flat 27 inch

When I turn on my tv the power light is blue and the television comes on and then shuts off and keeps doing this. I have it set up to the satelite and can see the picture. Then shuts off and turns itself back on. Some times the picture lasts for a minute or two then goes through the process again. HELP!!!!

This is an extremely common problem with this model of RCA tv. I am currently having the exact same problem, as are a large number of other RCA suckers, I mean buyers. My suggestion, shitcan it, don't waste money on a repair, and go out and buy a Sony.

It is the front panel on the tv (button panel). I took my freinds tv apart and unplugged the button panel from the circuit board before it turned it's self off and the tv worked fine. It didn't turn off and on or change channels on it's own. The problem that I found is that this part is hard to find, online anyway. It can be fixxed by a repair shop, but they will want to charge you 100.00+ dollars to it. It's simple to take apart and simple to install. The Tv is already messed up anyway, why not give it a shot if you think you can.

This is probably a tv with the "ctc-169" chassis. The BEST modern chassis RCA built. I own 2 of them that I USE, one is a 32" CONSOLE, a lot like your 27" set the other is a projo. I would keep BOTH of them ANY day--over ANY of the cheap, unreliable, fragile flat--panel sets today!!

FIX your set!! If the picture was good--it still will be--these sets had GREAT tubes in them. Most likely--a power supply isue with a couple of caps in the power supply, perhaps the controller chip for the chopper transistor, nothing likely serious. Probably about 150 repair--or less.

How do you unlock your TV from Protective Mode? There is a certain code that you need in order to unlock the Television. The technicians are saying that it went into Protective Mode, when it umplugged all by itself. I need the code so I can watch my TV again.

Insignia 27 inch lcd tv gets no video or audio

the most common item that fails with all LCDs is the power invertor or power supply, and that sounds like what your set is needing is the capacitors have possibly failed on the Invertor
