Smells for the past 8 weeks it is stinking of sewage when starting a cycle. have had council out to check the drains no problems there. have done usual stuff like wash on hot cycle empty. would appreciate some advice thankyou

Contact your honeowner's insurance company and see if that damage is covered. I don't think any reputable company would advise 'reclaiming' parts of a cleaning device that sat in raw sewage.

run it with nothing in it ,let it go through a cycle and drain .Then repeat but add some bleech and vinigar ,not a lot about 1/2 cup each and allow it to run a cycle . this should clean it out and make it run fresh. Keep doing this until it does and do it every so often.

Are you sure it's your washer or is there an awful sewage gas smell coming up your drain where your washer hose drains in.. I had this happen and I had to instal a U trap in the line the washer drained into.

check for dead rodents in the ceiling. Have a plumber check for blocked /leaking drains especially around the dish washer drains . If you have had pest exterminators in lately then something may have taken the bait . IT will be best to get in professionals to remove the smell as quickly as possible as to customers a smelly restaurant is equal to bad hygiene and food poisoning.

The drain is connected to the sewage system, so the smell could come from there, install a trap valve

Does it drain into a trap? It sounds like you may not have a trap fitted and the smell from the drains is coming through the outlet pipe?s

check the door boot just inside the door for dark spots on the gray rubber boot and the drain hole in the boot it can grow mold where the water stands in it from previous washings and this mold will smell like raw sewage from all the soap and softener that aids in mold growth

1 cup of bleach w/ no clothes place in detergent dipenser every 2- 4 weeks will kill the bacteria let it run the entire cycle to end.

do the clothes stink too? or just the washer? if you have a crawl space check the washer drain it could be draining under the house...and vapors coming up through line......

THE VENT IS BLOCKED ON THE HOUSE DRAIN MAKING THE SMELL SURGE OUT OF THE PIPE WHEN THE PUMP STARTS PUMPING THE WATER OUT, CLEAR THE DRAIN AND VENT, SOME HAVE TO BE DONE FROM THE ROOF OF THE HOUSE,,,
