Black circles on screen - Toshiba 37HL67 37 in. LCD HDTV

Any update on this? My tv just started doing the same thing

could be a burn from constant display of each channels ID
turn off from the wall
wait an hour
see if the screen settles

1st make sure screen is clean. inspect when off. use only cloth slightly damp with water.
2nd make sure it is not the image by looking at another image or a blank white screen. Some test images will display each color.
if it is there on any image the pixels are dead. But being circles sounds more line screen cleaning

LCD screen is damaged - repair probably very expensive.

that is usually caused by cleaning the screen with windex the windex runs down the screen bewteen the screen and plastic frame and actually seeps inside between the screen layers. Eventually it may go away by itself if the circles are not too bad but in most cases the damage is permanent.It can also be an issue called screen delamination which there is no fix for.

Yes lcd screen is cracked. No way to repair, other than changing screen. Cheaper to buy new tv.
