Sometimes a tiny light shows up when you first plug in to a charger and goes off when fully charged. Sometimes when you plug in and turn on the device some sort of battery-like icon shows on the screen or a message that tells you the device is charging. Otherwise, plug in the charger for about four hours and then retest. Most batteries will charge overnight. In general the larger the battery, the longer it takes to charge. The longest times are about 20 hours for items like tools, vacuum cleaners, and the like.
is this an older laptop, if so you might just need to replace the battery. or try a different charger before buying a battery. If you need anymore assistance im here
Hi there. Your problem seems to be the battery. Usually when the battery is at the end of its life the indicator stays at 0%. If you are still unsure you can go to download.com and get free battery testing software. Good luck...
This message means that you have over used your battery. The battery will no longer hold a charge and must be replaced. I would recommend purchasing a new battery.
Ifthe laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be wornout. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cyclesand will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up atall.
ORThe battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected thebattery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time.
Ifthe battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to bereplaced.
This machine is roughly 4 years and so the battery does not hold the charge like it used to. It's just suggesting that you should look into a replacement battery that will hold the charge longer than the current one which will give you more time to use the device.
Your battery is dead and will no longer hold a charge. If it is a newer computer, then it may be defective and covered under your warranty. If it is an older computer, this is the unfortunate thing about rechargeable batteries...eventually they will no longer hold a charge.
