Facebook members who wish to refrain from account usage have multiple options for doing so. For various reasons, some members may wish to refrain from Facebook use permanently.
With no desire to resume usage of a particular Facebook account, the deletion option will work best.
Other members, knowing they will wish to return at some point, opt for account deactivation.
This choice will determine you ability to resume usage of the same account, or the need to create a new one.Deleted Facebook Accounts
Deleting a Facebook account is an irreversible action.
Upon account deletion, your profile and any related content and account information were permanently deleted.
You have no options for account restoration.
Your information was immediately removed from Facebook once your request to delete was submitted.
You no longer appear in Facebook search results.
Your only option for resuming Facebook use is to create an entirely new account.

Deactivated Facebook Accounts
Deactivating a Facebook account offers far more flexibility, and is more of a temporary action. Account deactivation allows you the option to return to Facebook and regain full use of your account, profile, and all related content and information.
If you opted to deactivate your Facebook account, you have the ability to restore it.
Account deactivation is simple to reverse, requiring only a few steps.

Restoring Facebook Account Go to facebook.com to access the Facebook Welcome page.
Type the email address that is associated with your account and your password in the space provided and click the "Log In" button.
Your account profile will be fully restored and accessible.
Your content will appear just as it did upon deactivation.
Begin using your Facebook applications and features right away.

Creating New Facebook Account

If account reactivation is not an option, go to facebook.com to access the Facebook Welcome page.
Enter your personal information, including first and last name, email address, gender and birthday, and create an account password using the space provided.
Click the "Sign Up" button at the bottom of the page.
You will need to re-establish all the features of your previous account to allow your new Facebook account to closely match your old one.
These procedures may include sending friend requests, completing profile information, uploading photos, liking Pages and any other applications you previously utilized.

Hi how do I go about to close my current facebook accounts?

Depending on whether or not you think you might want to return, here's what you need to do:

How to deactivate your account

Deactivating your account temporarily means you have the option to return to Facebook whenever you want.
  1. Click the downward arrow at the top right of any Facebook page
  2. Select "Settings"
  3. Click "Security" in the left column
  4. Choose "Deactivate your account", then follow the steps to confirm
If you deactivate your account your profile won't be visible to other people on Facebook and people won't be able to search for you, but some information, such as messages you sent to friends, may still be visible to others.
If decide you'd like to go back to Facebook, you can reactivate your account at any time by logging in with your email and password. Your profile will be restored in its entirety.

How to permanently delete your account

If you don't think you'll use Facebook again, you can request to have your account permanently deleted. However, after an account has been deleted it won't be possible to reactivate your account or retrieve anything you've shared on your profile.
Before you do this, you may want to download a copy of your information from Facebook:
  1. Click the downward arrow at the top right of any Facebook page
  2. Select "Settings"
  3. Click on the link at the bottom of the main menu that says "Download a copy of your Facebook data".
Then you need to go to https://www.facebook.com/help/delete_account, click on "Delete my account", then follow the steps to confirm.
It may take up to 90 days for Facebook to delete all of the things you've posted, like your photos, status updates or other data stored in backup systems. While Facebook is deleting this information, it is inaccessible to other people using the social network.
Some of the things you do on Facebook aren't stored in your account. For example, a friend may still have messages from you in their inbox. That information will remain even after you delete your account, so you will need to contact the recipients of you want it removed.

Can you help get my Facebook account back?

Has it been disabled?

How to Recover Disabled Facebook Account

One admonition, if it has been disabled for a non-technical reason, it is of questionable value to you to return there.

My problem is I can't login to my Facebook

On the Facebook login page, you can find both, I forgot my password and forgot my login account.
While setting up your account, you gave Facebook a possibility to find out if you are the owner of the account. Like some security questions and or a return e-mail address. If someone wanted to hack your account, and he / she knew the answers to your security questions, (or easy could guess them) it was easy to hack the page.
And if the did so, I think they already changed the return mail address. If not, just goto the Facebook login page and ask Facebook to help you. When your page is already in use by others, you can't get it back, unless you can convince (already) Facebook it was recently hacked.

Really, only Facebook can help you. Don't try to change anything on your phone, to get things straight, us a computer to login.

Facebook is a joke. I want out

You have two choices. You can deactivate your account or delete your account entirely. Deactivating let's you return to using Facebook ever you ever choose to do so. Deleting your account will remove your account and all your data.

Help being removed from facebook

From the Facebook Help Center:If you deactivate your account from your Security Settings page, your profile (timeline) and all information associated with it disappears from the Facebook service immediately. People on Facebook will not be able to search for you or view any of your information.

In case you want to come back to Facebook at some point, we save your profile (timeline) information (friends, photos, interests, etc.) so that your account will look just the way it did when you left. A lot of people deactivate their accounts for temporary reasons and expect their profiles (timelines) to be there when they return to the service.

If you do not think you will use Facebook again and would like your account deleted, keep in mind that you will not be able to reactivate your account or retrieve any of the content or information you have added. If you would like your account permanently deleted with no option for recovery, log in to your account and then submit your request here.

Having trouble getting on Facebook. When I try to get on facebook it says my account is temporaily closed and try back later. I have tried all evening.

This means they are performing maintenance on a server who's database is where your account resides.
If your account doesn't return within 24-48 hours then you may need to contact Facebook Support.
