At the end of the spin cycle the inside drum started to spin uncontrollably and creates a loud banging (marching band) noise. Looks like the inside drum becomes loose and can only stop when it looses momentum. At the end of the spin cycle the inside drum started to spin uncontrollably and creates a loud banging (marching band) noise. My ASKO W6342 washing machine drum will not turn on any setting, it fills and drains fine but the drum does not turn during the cycle, however it is free to turn by hand, the belt from the motor is OK, I have removed the back and there is no sign of loose or burnt wires or other obvious problem. When the drum should start there is no sound (eg click or other noise and the motor does not appear to get a signal to turn.My ASKO W6342 washing machine drum will not turn on any setting, it fills and drains fine but the drum does not turn during the cycle, however it is free to turn by hand, the belt from the motor is OK, I have removed the back and there is no sign of loose or burnt wires or other obvious problem. Could be a loose basket nut, or on the bottom tub support there are a few springs that help locate the tub. One of the springs could have come off or broke.
a loud noise comes when you forget to remove shipping bolts after installation or if the shocks are worn out it makes noise thirdly the bearings might be worn out if the washer is more than 6years old
During the spin cycle the drum moves at a higher RPM and so the counter weight of the clothes within can make the drum rotate eccentric or out of sync.
So check if the belt is loose on the motor, checck if the spindle is tight with friction or the drum assembly suspension is out of alignment.
You must check the reason with the following points to confirm the drum spinning making noise. check point of noise , is this on hitting the sides , or from the motor, any foreign objects or the drum spindle. But you are the judge with a first view. Use good lighting to look out and confirm the fault.
My HE2T was making a horrendous sound during the spin cycle. It was
making a loud clacking sound and the machine was moving all over the
place.
There are two things to check. The first is that the feet
are on the floor and the machine is level. The second is a bit more
complex. Remove the three screws that hold the lower panel. Underneath
the drum on each of the four corners are suspension rods. One side is
attached to the drum and the other side is bolted to the bottom of the
washer. My bolts loosened up which allowed the suspension rods to clack
back up and down as the drum spun. You'll need to tighten those bolts
very tight and then give it another try.
Attached on the inside
of that cover is the troubleshooting guide. There is a manual
diagnostic mode and you can step it to the spin cycle so that you can
test the spin balance without having to run through a full cycle. Make
sure you have some clothes in there during the test.
check the inside of the machine (have to unsrew the top of the machine)each corner should have a rod wich the drum balances on perhaps one has come loose or a spring is gone. possible lol i hope this is some help to you
I have a kenmore front load washer, model: 417 42042100 It makes loud noise and becomes louder during the spin cycle. The drum is loose when I inspected through the front door. My problem is how to open the cabinet and replace any broken parts.
possible the bearings are going. place yor hand in the bottom of the drum and run the drum around and feel the bearings for any wear/ noise/vibration. alteratively the bearings in the motor could have gone and spinning with the belt removed would prove this.
