I can't change channels, message on TV says,'' no input available''.

I have no Sharp TV channel control. We use a universal contrtol,( which is our Dish control) which worked fine , then all of sudden it would not change channels. I can't even get it back to channel 3. At this time a message of 54 Analog is in upper righthand corner. HELP, please! C.C.

Have you tried reprogramming the Dish remote with the Sharp code? That might bring back the TV control. Another option is to use the TV's control panel menu button (if available), go to the setup choices and have the TV scan for channels while the Dish receiver is on. It will find channel 3 then, and probably nothing else, so the set will stay on that channel.

Need codes to program tv it is a sylvanna tv

U get those codes, if available, from the manufacturer of your universal remote. And remember that a universal remote only offers limited functions such as volume, change channels, mute, power on/off. Video input changes, menus and other items are not included.

I have a Sharp TV model LC-32SB24U. I cannot access the menu screen because I lost the remote control. Is there another way I can change channels without a remote?

The Sharp LC-32SB24U has menu, input, volume up/down and channel up/down buttons on the top of the TV. When you access the Menu using the buttons on the TV, the Input button is the same as the Enter key. The volume up/down buttons map to the left and right arrows. The channel up/down buttons remain up and down. The Menu button is the closest to the power button (on the right). The volume buttons are the ones on the left.

Make sure that the input is set to TV to change channels. Then you need to program the available channels, access the Menu and navigate to Setup (left/right arrows). Press Input to enter this sub-menu. Then use the Up/Down arrows to select CH Setup. Press Input again to enter. Now you can set the channel source and let the TV scan for channels that have a strong enough OTA signal or are unencrypted cable channels. These are the top two options in the Channel Setup menu. The details are available in the manual which is available here: http://static.highspeedbackbone.net/pdf/Sharp_LC37SB24U_LC32SB24U_Manual.pdf . For OTA channels, you may need to check the signal strength under the Antenna Setup - Digital option in this Setup menu. OTA Digital signals will not be tuned in if the signal strength is low. It's an all-or-none tuning; amplifiers and external antennas may help. See tvfool.com for details of transmitters and the recommended antenna for your area. (Warning: damaged amplifiers can become filters and block the signal on some channels. Replace the amplifier if it is damaged.)

If you look to replace your original remote with a universal remote, you'll need one that was programmed more than 6 months after the TV was released. That may be 12/2005 based on the manual copyright date. Look for a remote that has a Menu and Input or Source button and check all of the codes to find one that matches all of the features on your original remote. Amazon has an OEM remote for the LC-32SB24U; remotes.com also has a replacement remote available that has been programmed for the TV. (On remotes.com, search for the LC32SB24U.)

I hope this helps.

Do i need a remote to aquire the av input on the tv

I believe on the Toshiba 14AF44 that you can change inputs by using the channel button on the front of the TV, as well. Either channel down to the lowest channel and then channel down again to start going through the available inputs, or channel up to the highest channel and then channel up again to start going through the available inputs.
Hope this helps!

change channel up/down to AV or Input. To get this to program in the channels, you will have to turn on dvd, then go to tv menu and select "autoprogram" and it will search all available channels including AV/Input

I am trying to fix a Sharp 27k-s100 television.

Can you use the remote control to change the channels? If not, it may be that to need to reprogram the remote to work with your TV. I just had the same problem. I have GE universal remote and have reprogrammed it to work with my SHARP 27k-s100 TV by following these instructions: http://www.ehow.com/how_9190_program-ge-universal.html The code that worked for my TV is 173. Other codes listed for SHARP are: 004, 006, 012, 029, 095, 111, 112, 113, 122, 171. Good luck!
