You may have water under the dishwaher ... have any plumbing work done lately?
if the dishwaher overflows or leaks it will trip a float switch under the dishwasher... as long as it is triped it will run the drain pump.. and not let any water into the tub...
the water will have to be removed and the leak stopped before it will run a cycle....
Hope this helps if not let me know more about your problem..

The issue is most likely in the fill valve itself(around 90% of the time). This is located behind the toe kick on the right hand side of the machine. the valve can be checked manually by using a jumper cord connected to 110V power and directly attaching it to the valve electrical terminals. First shut off the dishwasher power at the house breaker panel. Remove the electrical connections at the fill valve. attach the jumper cord and power the valve directly. if there is no water entering the machine then the valve needs replacement. If there is water then proceed below.
There have been some issues with wiring to the fill valve. You will have to carefully inspect the wires beneath the toekick for breakage. You will need to have a torx 15 or 20 handy to remove the screws( if installed properly) ther will be several brown or grey wires in a bundle on the lower right hand side beneath the door.
Use extreme caution when working with electrics.
Ideally have a technician verify the problem for you.

Hi,
Have a look to make sure that the pump and drain hose are unblocked. If they are, you might have to call Asko and arrange a service call.
Good luck!

Yes, Asko dishwashers can leave a small amount of water in the sump after a cycle completes. At the beginning of most cycles the sump is pumped and new water added.

Have an Asko 1325 that experienced similar scenario. Removed the unit from the kitchen to the outside to do a thorough exploration. After all a dead machine is a good one to learn on. With the unit electrically disconnected, I explored within the lower guts of the machine. Found some foreign plastic debris within the turbine. Then wigled and removed each electrical connector and reconnected back. There may be corrosion within the contacts. After this procedure I test ran the machine on the outside and it worked.
BTW a common defect with the Asko is the electrical wiring leading up the main door panel, from below the machine. The wires are typically too short and the metal edges of the unit are razor sharp. You guessed it, wires become cut and cause an electrical short at best, or a fire at worst. See the photo for proof by practice. This is why an Asko can be a fiasco.
