I see you requested and received a refund. I hope you enjoyed the free solutions. Unfortunately you can not help someone who can't help themselves. You were given more then adequate advice. I think it is wrong to abuse a service such as this and to waste the experts time. If you gave it an honest effort then the paper jam would be cleared or your printer would be defective and require professional service.
Hope you enjoyed the free help,

Any of the following situations can cause paper jams:

  • Using paper that is wrinkled, curled, bent, or torn
  • Using paper that has previously been printed on
  • Trying to print while the rear access door is not locked in place
  • Neglecting to clean the paper feed rollers with clean, lightly moistened rag every six months to one year
  • Printing envelopes without tucking the flap into the envelope and creasing the folds

CLICK HERE - about halfway down is how to check the xbias spring, and the whole document is about checking the carriage.
If the small plastic tab in the carriage chute is broken, the x-bias sprint might be dislodged. The broken tab might be in either of the carriage chutes, so check both. paper jamed in fax machine, unabble to retrive - 1ef66bf.gif

My fax machine is displaying "Clear Paper Jam" I have looked every where and can't see a piece of paper stuck in it. This is making me unable to recieve faxes but allows me to send them....

it is the paper jam sensor thats giving a false reading. It can b a very small piece of paper that u can easily remove with ur hand or by blowing. Open it, remove ink catridges, blow it thoroughly n make sure all sensors are clean of dirt. Also mke sure tht the paper u use is preheat to avoid these paper jams. Hpe it helps, pliz vote. Good luck.

Can not clear "document loaded" notification.... shows on start up, and cannot send fax.

Open top cover and check if there a little piece of paper stuck on the document sensor in the scan area or the sensor could be out of position.

Can't fax or copy on brother mfc3240c machine

Sounds like you may have a small obstruction in the scanner feed. This would inhibit making copies and sending faxes. Lift this section up slightly to inspect for small pieces of paper or dust. Blowing it out with compressed air would also be a good idea.

Says there is a paper jam but there is not

First, you have to clear the error first before sending the fax.

-open the rear access door at the back and check if there is any debris of paper. If none, close the access door and make sure you hear the snap and properly closed.

-lift the document feeder cover to check for any debris, and then close it properly.

-if error is cleared, try faxing again

Goodluck!

I cant recive any fax

Sometimes the plain paper in the tray underneath upsets the whole machine.

Open up the top of the machine, as if you were going to change the toner cartridge. Pull out the cartridge carefully to mae sure that there is not a piece of paper jameed underneath. Replace the catridge and close the top of the machine. when you close the top 'door' the machine will make a noise as if it is resetting itself - the 'jam' display may or may not clear at this point. Next, pull out the paper tray. You will need to stoop down to look into the gap where the tray normally sits. If there is a piece of paper jammed at the back this will need to be carefully removed. If you pull it out make sure there a re no fragments left int he machine - you can check this by oepning out the piece of paper removed and see if there are any pieces missing.
Finally, if all is clear, replace the paper tray (it would be worth topping up your supply of paper as the 'jam' message sometimes comes up when the machine has a low paper supply.

Hope this helps.

Faxing

Hi:

You may have removed the paper but the reason why it is still saying paper jam can be caused by at least two things.

If you removed the paper, but it tore while you were taking it out then a small piece could be blocking a sensor or a sensor flag ( a spring loaded finger that the paper has to activate as it moves through the machine) It's possible that a small piece of paper could be blocking a sensor or you may have disloged one of these 'flags' in the area where you first removed the paper. Go back and look closely in that area for a piece of paper or a sticking ''flag'. Until you do that the fax keeps thinking that there is something in the paper path and will keep displaying that message.

Clearing an error

well, one of two things have happened, 1. you haven't removed all of the jammed paper, maybe you left a small piece of a piece of paper or you may bent or broken your paper jam sensor. go through the paper path very carefully and check both things.
