Why has the picture on my tv gone too dark to

Back-light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

The picture on my Technika tv has gone very bright and will not adjust, does this mean I will need a new one?

Remove back fron tv locate line flyback transformer
on this transformer there should be two adjustment controls very carfully adjust the bottom one, do not adjust to far as picture will have fine white lines on it

Ur tv projection bulb need replacement.

Turn ALS off. IT is in the same menu as brightness.

Most sets have electronic service adjustments. Contact manufacture for nearest service center.

You'll get this abnormality some times due to the signal if you're watching regular analog picture and you have your TV set on full screen, the TV will stretch the picture and you will see more defects than if you're watching it on normal picture.
