I have a Polaroid HDTV with a DVD player in the side of it. There's a DVD stuck in there and I can't get it out. It just makes a clicking sound when I press open.
When I push eject, it makes a noise and then nothing comes out. The dvd will play, so I know it is in there! This is a Polaroid flat screen with built in DVD player on the side. When I push eject, it makes a noise and then nothing comes out. The dvd will play, so I know it is in there! I have had this before, get yourself a butter knife, slide it gently into the space, and try to maneurver the dvd back a little, and while you have the butter knife in, push your open/close button, hope this works for you it did for me!

Can't find a code to program your universal remote to control your Polaroid HDTV / DVD combo? Can't find a listing for Polaroid DVD in your remote control code list?
Many manufacturers recycle remote control codes, so often the best solution is to use the code search function of your universal remote.
Here are some remote control codes that have worked to control Polaroid HDTVs:
My 19" w/DVD uses the following Mitsubishi code: 10178
Dish Network remotes: 627, 659, or 688
DirecTV RC64 remote control revealed a code of 10835. This means that 10835, 0835, 835 or some variant many work with many programmable remote controls. On my DirecTV DVR system, this was indicated as a Moxell and/or Motorola TV code.
Use the mitsubshi tv codes they worked for me.
Try Element codes if they are listed in your remote code list.

If the DVD doesn't start when you place it in the player, look for the Play button on the remote control. There may be a TV/DVD switch on the remote that would need to be changed to DVD.
If the manual below doesn't match your TV, please post the model number of your Polaroid HDTV/DVD combo for more specific help.
