i'm sorry to tell you this, you have to take take the hole recoil apart.either the spring is broken or the dog that holes the spring is not engaged.to fix it you have to take it apart.restring the rope,make sure the dog is catching the spring,rotate the recoil rotor to tension the spring,retie the handle and reinstall the recoil as an assembly.hope this helps,let me know if you have any questions...........

You need to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb. cleaner. Use a Den Tek Brush,
(http://www.dentek.com/shop.php?target=products&product_id=7), to clean the small portals in the carb. Make sure to clean the small screen in the carb. as well. Reassemble and start.

The best way to do it is to remove the screen. Take a small screwdriver and some carburator cleaner and make sure that the exhaust is clear. Use a wire brush and clean the screen. I personally remove the little screen on every weed eater I have. Not politically correct, but effective, because those screens just keep getting clogged up and causing problems.
