After washing it makes loud noise & won't spin or drain
The machine washes ok, but when done it makes a loud noise and won't spin or drain the water.
Also, before this problem, the machine sometimes rips the clothing during either the wash or spin cycle. It looks as if the fabric is caught on something, but on what, I don't know.
Help please. Thank you!
Theres a good chance the fabric is caught in the water pump that drains during the spin cycle. The obstruction will cause an error and prevent the spin.

sound as though the drain pump has something hitting the impeller making the clicking noise, and the filter basket next to the pump is blocked by debris and not letting it drain
Check to make sure that your clothes are not piled to one side causing the load to be off-balance. If that does'nt fix it then, It may be that your machine has a balance stabilizer on it that has worked its way loose or even off.
Don't know what type of washing machine you have since you did not provide a model number. But if it is a front loader, and it makes a loud noise when spinning, the problem could be that the support arms have failed. It would cause the machine not to be able to spin properly. To confirm the problem, unload the washer. Spin the wash drum by hand, and notice if the drum sags or wobbles when it spins. If it does not turn smoothly, then chances are the spider arms are broken. It is big job and expensive to fix. Get a few estimates before deciding whether it worth fixing.
