Once you remove bolt #2, there's nothing else to remove or release. That bolt is what holds the agitator in place. Now depending on the age of the unit and how often it is used, that agitator can be a pain to remove. Sometimes I have to use a water bladder to get the agitator to release. That's a round ring that slides under agitator and water goes in to apply even pressure to raise and release agitator. Good Luck!
Some agitators at the top have a plastic lid that has a bolt under it holding the agitator in washer. Take the bolt out and agitator should come out of washer.
I stood in the big basket and pulled up on the agitator and it came out. My tights were wound around the post underneath...would've never come out if I wouldn't have removed the agitator. 3rd pair of tights ruined! Also had a camisole do the same. I wouldn't advise buying this washer....I now have to hand wash tights, bras, and camisoles. The agitator went back fairly easy...altho on the second try, I think I had it positioned just right...?...phew!
I removed a shoestring from one of them pumps not long ago. The electric pump comes apart easily for cleaning. Remove the 3 screws holding the bottom panel on, they are under the washer between the base and the washer. First try cleaning out this pump filter. With any luck you won't have to ring for service.
I fixed one of these with a drain problem not long ago. Their was a shoestring in the pump. To get to the pump you remove the front cover. The pump comes apart easily for cleaning. Have your mop ready. This old school manual gives directions for removing the front panel. The top does not pop off the front pops off on these washer.
theres no nut and bolt,,only a cam or bell ..you have to roch agitator back and forth,,until it losens,,and pull up reall hard..or put your belt under agitator and yank up..onthejob
You will have to remove the agitator. Remove the softener dispenser from the top of the agitator and when you look down the agitator, you will see a 10mm stainless steel bolt. You will need to remove this bolt to remove the agitator. If there is no bolt, try pulling the agitator up and out.
remove the agitator by grasping firmly and pulling up towards your chin, carefully! *( many have 1/4 hex head screw on agitator, down the side near the base, older ones have a rubber ring on transmission shaft
