Hi there, I've had my Pentax Optio WPi since 2005. Yesterday, I tried to take pictures but when I looked for the Program mode in the menu, It was gone. Instead, there are two Movie modes which do the exact same thing!
I read the entire manual and there was nothing there that could help in troubleshooting a lost menu! I would appreciate any help offered. Thank you very much!

I found a step by step manual for this operation. I hope it helps you get to transferring movies. http://www.pentaximaging.com/files/manual/OptioW20_pc_web.pdf

Hold the OK key for 5 seconds while powering on the camera. this unlocks the menu and key modes.

I had the same problem with the exact same camera (Pentax Optio S5Z) that happened the same way. I searched everywhere on the web and finally found this post that didn't have a solid solution. So I started experimenting with different button combinations and finally figured it out.
Hold the OK button while turning on the camera. The screen should indicate that it is in audio record mode. Now press the Menu button and use the navigation keys to find and execute the system reset option.
After turning it off and back on it should function normally.

Go to the link below then select Cameras on the first drop down box and then Compact on the second then click Go. then on the list to the right look for your unit.
