Analog set, so hotels are getting rid of them. Limited number of channels available. The right MENU button operates the CC menu and the left MENU button operates the SLEEP function. I've tried pressing the two MENU buttons together: no good. I've tried holding down both buttons together for about 3 minutes: no good. I've tried this with the VOLUME buttons, as well. Interesting that pressing any button turns it on. I'm able to use a universal remote with it, but when I select any channel outside its programming, it simply says that that channel is unavailable. I'm on Comcast cable. Any other suggestions?
0621 is the code- I used 2 different universal remotes(one for menu and one for scrolling) and solved my problem- when I got to cable, I selected no and was able to use all the originally unprogrammed channels
Please i have this Philips television. model (21pv-918/39).I purchased it from a hotel but unfortunately has a channel lock on it.Can any one please assist me with how i could get it reverted.Any help will be appreciated.
thanks in advance
The code 0621 isn't working for the PC7225 TV on my philips RC19335027 remote. Is there any other code I can try.
Also I purchased an RCA - RCR311BT remote and programmed for the tv and the code 0621 isn't getting me to the setup menu. Is there any other code I can try or special way to enter the code in to get to that setup menu?
The ultimate goal is to change the default startup station from channel 53 to channel 3. Thanks.
Your stuck . this set uses a converter chip that gets it information from a programer mounted in the office video rack . its sends a signal to set channels .
the chip has a 99 year memory ( form the service manual . i dont think its that long its more like a year unpluged ) theres even a option to turn set off if does not see a signal from the programer in 10 days it will go blank screen or switch to a channel and stay there with sound mute. the only thing i can think of is to rewire set to buypass tuner and install rca video and audio jacks and use them with a external converter . its tricky and you may ruin the detector ic . just watch your square waves around that detector . and thats a HOT set and use a isolation transformer ... good luck
i may have made a mistake . i reread your post and i thought you where a service center looking for a service manual and an answer on this tv ( answering to much tonight so there running together) all the informaion is correct but if your not a tech you might not know what i am talking about ........so if your not your stuck i do not recomend you do any of this . ........ sorry about this

I have a Philips universal remote. After trying half of the codes for Philips TVs, I came up with one which allowed access to the SETUP menu. It was 0621. This allowed me to run the auto channel setup, as well as fix some of the other functions. I don't know if this works with all remotes, but if you try different codes, you should get lucky. I'm sure it helps if you have a SETUP button on your remote.
I have Phillips hotel tv model PPC732-C101 and can not acess the tv menu. I don't the orignal remote and tried a universal remote. I just want to
adjust the contrast. Anyone who can help please.
