I'll try & I hope that I don't sound stupid-it says unable to connect to DSL?-pinged off remote host? Then there's a box that says connect to LAN,so I click this & it says reparing(takes about 10 seconds) & that fixes it BUT its happening about 20 times a day. There is nothing in the Error reports area so I can't copy the exact wording sorry.I rang my ISP who said its not their problem. It also says something about Ethernet. Its already done it twice this morning so next time I'll copy & paste the exact wording.
Here is part of the message that displays
Cannot communicate with primary DNS(10.0.0.0.138)
Reset the network adaptor
My ISP is Telstra Bigpond & I'm on ADSL.A friend suggested changing power setting so computer doesn't go to sleep after 5minutes & this seems to have cured the problem re LAN connection but he says he believes that all problems are linked-also have an issue re Windows closing down at least once a day as well-it says APPCRASH.
I have no idea how to respond on this forum & can only choose -I have the same problem but I'm still trustymum.
