I have an old Jandy JI2000 system from 1993. Our spa is not blowing out bubbles and I'm not sure how to make them come out with more force. Also, I am wondering which setting the valves should be on. there are 2 JVA2440 valves on above and one below. How should the valves be set?

Without seeing a picture of the setup it is nearly impossible to tell how the valves should be set. The bubbles problem is most likely the blower, or a check valve problem. Upgrade you blower to a 2 HP. The valve settings should not affect this if the pool/spa was plumbed properly.

My Jandy Laars Natural Gas pool heater (LJ250N)

Check your heater by-pass valve and be sure it is almost closed. If not that then it will be your internal by-pass. These will force water through heater and keep it from overheating the water inside it and shuting it down. Also check to be sure the baskets are clean and the filter is clean.

My spa won't blow bubbles but it will heat up. It

You opened the air valve??? Usually a round thingy on the edge of the tub.

I cant imagine how this would not work if it were open ... it works on the same idea as a carb on any gas engine. If the hole is open, the water stream will **** in air.

Spa wont heat

Check the pump make sure that it is getting power. If there is power to the pump and nothing is working then pump is bad. Also this could be your computer board is bad, a inline fuse. or the Jandy is bad
