What is the low virtual memory
If you receive an error or notification that you have, "Low Virtual Memory" it means that your system's RAM is running out of space.
RAM is short for, "Random Access Memory." RAM is used by the processor to store data of programs currently running on your computer. Perhaps the easiest way to explain this is in the following scenario.
Say that you are in an office cubicle processing paperwork. You are the processor, the paperwork is the software or requests of the software for the processor to do something, your table is the system memory (RAM), and the office's basement is the hard-drive. Well, the paperwork you need to process is located in the basement (hard-drive), 15 stories downstairs. So, to prevent multiple trips to retrieve the paperwork (data), you (the processor) take all the paperwork (data) upstairs all at once and lay it down on your desk (RAM/Memory). This prevents you from having to go downstairs every time you finished one piece of paperwork and are in need of processing another one.
So, back to simplicity. The processor stores data it needs to process in the RAM. The less RAM, the less room the processor has to operate or process data thus slowing down operations as the processor has to travel back to the source to retrieve the data and process it individually as opposed to all at once.
So, to resolve your issue. You either need to reduce the amount of processes running on your system, or you need to buy more System Memory to increase the overall capacity.
Let me know if I can assist you further, or if I need to explain any of the previous points in more detail.
Your computer has used up its physical memory (RAM) and is currently utilizing and eating up hard drive space. A computer designates a certain amout of "FAKE" or wat they call virtual memory from the hard drive and when that is taken up it shows low virtual memory. Simply put this just means you need to increase the amount of ram on the computer :)
