Problem with printing business cards with HP Lasterjet 1320

I used Avery business cards for lasterjets and I found that when I tried printing them they got stuck in my HP Lasterjet 1320.

I tried numerous cards---still no luck.

Anyone know what cards work?

Thanks.

Dan

If the cards are getting stuck in your printer, you first need to make sure the cards are rated for laserjet. If they are, then many times the cards don't like going through the curves of the machine. I would set them to feed from the tray on the front, which should be tray 1, and I would select them to eject out the rear of the printer, which you should be able to accomplish through the print drivers depending on what software you are using to print them.

Please let me know if you would like further assistance with this matter. Thank you.

You should just have to load the card stock in tray1 and open the rear door for the straightest path.

Open Printer options and reduce the print quality. It is probably 1200dpi. Make it 600 and try the print again.
You may also add more printer memory to print complex documents on highest resolution possible.

Paper goes through tray 1 the image prints landscape on portait

Try placing the business card sheet in the main paper bin instead of the manual feed or adjusting the print orientation from Portrait to Landscape or vice versa.

Printing on templates

This is normally set through the page margins within the software you are using not the actual printer settings. MS Word has templates for various Avery labels, but I've found after loading the template you have to fine tune the margins for your printer. Use plain paper to print test pages and hold them over your card stock to check alignment.
