Sometimes when I am sending text messages my Sidekick 3 looses all of it's bars and flashes a black "X" over the bars icon. I then have to turn my phone off then back on. That sometimes helps but it does get annoying. It is a fairly new phone (about 4 months). I don't know if this makes a difference but I do not have Tmobile. My phone company is AT&T. Please help with this problem!
Trying going to the AT-T website and sending the SMS & Web settings to your phone, also make sure that the phone is fully unlocked to accept your SIM card, or ring tmobile and fing out if the phone is reported lost or stolen via the IMEI

I've had the same problem as well. I made sure no messages were there, then called and left myself a message from another phone. I went in and listened to the message and waited till the option to delete came on and for the indication there were no more messages. Icon was gone.

ok i have a sk 2008 and the samething happend to me, what i did was just turned of my phone took out my batter and sim crd and let it chilled there for a min...then i put it all back together and my phone started flooding with texts...i think a sidekick can get clogged up with texts..i also think that the battery can over heat and thats what causes some problems..so when ever i have a prob with my kick i just take out the battery and let it cool down :] ok hope i helped

I have a sidekick 2008 that is unlocked with a universal unlocking chip.
I had the same problem, and I spent hours and hours online looking for a solution. Soft resets, full resets, turning wireless off then on, turning my phone off then on. None of it worked.
What did work, was when I desperately needed to send a text, I put my simcard (vodafone network) into my old vodafone phone. After I put it back into my sidekick, and voila, it worked! Not sure why. But every now and then my sidekick gets stuck on emergency calls only and error NET9, I put my sim in a vodafone phone (for you which ever network your sim is from) then back into my sidekick, and it works again.

the space bar on your Sidekick LX not working when you are trying to
text or in AIM? Do you have thesame space bar button problem on your
T-mobile Sidekick 2008? Does the Sidekick spacebar work in other apps
