Try this link. It solved my issue www.scribd.com/doc/280088/motorola-h500-bluetooth-earpiece-manual. Basically what you need to do is power the earpiece off. Make sure that your IPhone is not currently attempting to discover bluetooth devices (i.e. Bluetooth is OFF). Hold the On button on your earpiece (it has the symbol of a phone on it) for 6-10 seconds. The light on the earpiece remains lit. Now your earpiece is in discovery mode. On your IPhone, go to Settings, General, Bluetooth. Turn Bluetooth ON. Now your phone and your earpiece are both in discovery mode. When you see "Headset" listed, select it and enter the password "0000". Your IPhone is now paired with your H500 headset.
I was having this same problem with my h500, but got it to work with the pervious solution. I did have this problem with a different iphone I had and I had to go into to settings--general--reset--reset all settings, and after that it paired using the normal pairing instuctions. Hope this helps.
Thanks rpiper
SOURCE: My iPhone 3G does not discover my Motorola H500.
I eventually found the manual, and put it in discover mode correctly, and the Netbook paired with it no problem,
It is a Compaq 700 mini Netbook, and it picks up the earpiece straight away when it is switched on, and automatically connects it to Skype, which is what I was trying to achieve, the Bluetooth sw on the Netbook seems very good and easy to use.

My iPhone will not discover my H500 bluetooth
My Iphone won't discover the H500 either...
I have done this, but the iphone never asks me for the password, it just says "paired" and that's it. It does not respond to the earpiece, and does not route sound to it. *shrugs*
Just got the H500 - did as previously instructed and still no go... :(
I have the same problem, did as suggested and it still does not find the bluetooth. :(
