Looking for mac address on a PDT6846

Surely you already found the answer by now but if not: Click on the MS start icon (lower left corner of the main screen), on the Start page look for the "Wireless Companion" folder then look for Wireless Status icon and click on it. You will see a list of 8 options; select option #3, IPv4 Status; the MAC address is located at the bottom of the page.

Warm Boot:

- Press the "PWR" button to turn the unit off.

- Press the "4" and "5" keys at the same time.

- While still pressing the "4" and "5" keys press and release the "PWR' button again.

- Release the "4" and "5" button.

- The PDT6846 should perform a warm reboot.

Cold Boot:

- Press the "PWR" button to turn the unit off.

- Press the "B", "D" and "A" keys at the same time.

- While still pressing the "B", "D" and "A" keys press and release the "PWR' button again.

- Release the "B", "D" and "A" button.

- The PDT6846 should perform a cold boot.

it's in the general settings tab on the unit

Well, one rather indirect way of finding out would be using the following route:
1. Remove MAC address binding on your router
2. Let the phone connect to your router
3. Check associated clients in your router, the phone`s MAC address should show up there
You can then add the MAC address to your router`s filter, and enable binding again.

Probably not -- looks like corrupt firmware -- it'll have to go to a Symbol/Motorola Dealer for repair.

You can't, If you do somehow take it of like sawing it off it will leave a big hole in the bottom

Verify that the zebra software is loaded. Depending on the type of zebra printer used, might need special software. Zebra printers use the "zebra printer language" (zpl), not a standardized print language.

The host ip setup is application dependant. You'll need to check with the vendor that supplied your PDT6846 5250 emulator.
