Hello sir ,I`am Manish.I`ve a Compaq presario C700 series notebook. whenever I try to restore or recover my system to its original factory condition by using recovery discs, then on 23% completion of the windows partition formatting process it gives an error.The error is... ''0x4001100200001005''.so please suggest me what should I do. My system configuration is as follow: Intel Pentium Dual Core [email protected] GHz,1GB of RAM,120 GB SA TA HDD. and a registered copy of windows vista home premium 32bit SP1 edition. so ,in oder to continue my work I`d installed windows xp professional. I think that now my vista has been removed from my recovery hard drive partition. if it is so then please suggest me how i can get the installation disc of my original windows copy because it was not provided with my system.
U need to fix error on harddisk.
u can fix those error with "chkdsk /r"

When you first turn on the laptop and see the Compaq/HP logo screen, press the F11 key (you need to do this before the Compaq/HP logo disappears).
