Chat and text feature in my classic view

To switch from the All-New Yahoo! Mail to Yahoo! Mail Classic, in the upper-right portion of the All-New Yahoo! Mail screen, from the Options menu, select Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic.

A dialog box might appear asking for feedback. If it does, you can follow any links or check any boxes in the dialog box. To continue returning to Yahoo! Mail Classic, click Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic.
Switching back to the All-New Yahoo! Mail
To switch from Yahoo! Mail Classic to the All-New Yahoo! Mail, do one of the following:

• In the top-left portion of the Yahoo! Mail Classic screen, click All New Mail.
• In the upper-right portion of the Yahoo! Mail Classic screen, click Try the new Yahoo! Mail.
  
  

You can now read your email and take advantage of the new features of the All-New Yahoo! Mail. Check out the new tools in the Application menu at the lower left of the page.

make sure you are using the new yahoo mail (not the classic one). :)

You may need to uninstall and reinstall your yahoo messenger.

Go to start, control panel, classic view..

add/remove programs ( for XP )

programs and features ( for Vista )

remove the yahoo messenger application..

Then re download it and reintstall it..

You can do this by going to the control panel, classic view, add or remove programs ( XP) or programs and features ( vista)

Then finding yahoo messenger and uninstalling it..

Hi,

This is a new feature that has been embedded into the new yahoo mail, so you could chat while on the mail box interface. It does offer flexibility for folks that would love to chat while on their yahoo box. Just some new innovations from the yahoo team. If you don't want this then click on arrow around the left hand side of your screen, it has "Chat" and "I am" under it. lick on the arrow and sign out, that would keep you signed off while you open your mail.

u can click on mail classic button just under your login name in yahoo and u'll get back to the OLD CLASSIC version of yahoo

If you are using the classic yahoo messenger service, you may delete a contact by selecting the contact name and right click and you can select to delete if even permanently.

On the right side of the mail. you can see options Click on that and Click on Switch to Classic.
