Rinse on most washers is cold water your wash cycles can be cold hot and even warm. Problem You may have is a bad water feed valve Or Timer and possible bad wire harness at motor to timer
check water valve Turn washer to regular wash cycle pull knob on will washer fill ?
if water starts to fill then change washer temp if washer has this.
if water comes out on all settings water valve is fine.
Check the water both hot and cold that it is turned on;at faucet.
Your Kenmore Most likely has a bad water valve check for hot water side clog or not working.
Test the dripping water with your hand to make sure that it is the hot water side that is leaking. Lay a rag over the sink drain to keep parts from falling down it. Locate the hot and cold shutoff valves under the sink and turn the knobs clockwise by hand until they close. If the knobs remain stiff, use a pair of pliers to gently turn them until the knob begins to move, then finish turning by hand.
2 Pry the decorative cap off the faucet top with a small thin, flat-head screwdriver. Remove the cap that has the "H" letter on it. Depending upon the handle screw configuration, use a flat-head or Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the handle screw. Gently pry up on the handle from all angles and pull it up and off the splines of the stem.
3 Use a crescent wrench to turn the hot water stem nut counterclockwise until it comes completely off the stem shaft. Wiggle the stem with your fingers and pull it out of the faucet. If the washer on the bottom of the stem is deformed, it indicates the source of the leak. However, remove the old seat from the faucet base with an Allen wrench or a seat removal tool.
4 Wipe out the inside of the seat housing with a rag. Replace the seat with the new one included in the repair package, using an Allen wrench or seat removal tool.
5 Place the new hot water stem shaft into the valve seat, and start the stem nut in by hand, turning it clockwise. Finish tightening the stem nut with the crescent wrench, but only to a moderate firmness -- do not over-tighten it. Place the handle back over the stem shaft and tap it down until it seats firmly. Replace the handle screw and tighten it with a screwdriver.
6 Turn the hot and cold water supply knobs counterclockwise until they are fully open. Turn the hot water faucet knob to the "On" position and check for leaks.
If you turn it to left or right (hot or cold) and get water out of the shower head,we'll elimate cloged shower head.If it just doesnt work in the middle ,probily a washer is stuck in your diverter,or to better understand>a part inside your shower knob assembly is clogging the water that goes up to your shower head. If you get water out of the shower head in the just cold possition or just hot position, then you will have to dissasemble the unit to repair. If you get no water in the cold or hot position could just be a clogged shower head.If you dont know how to disasemble a Shower diverter ,I wouldn't recommend taking it apart. Hope this helped!
Don't know the history of your machine, sounds like possibly the hot water supply valve under your sink is turned off. To check this go under your kitchen sink and inspect water supply valves, (right side cold water) left side hot water valve feeds the machine. Vertical water line is for sink above, there should be a second water line coming off this valve that has its own on/off knob. Make sure this knob is turned on, (counterclockwise)if not sure turn it to the right (clockwise)till stops, then to the left till it stops. This allows hot water to enter dish machine. If valve is on and line is ok, there might be a kink in the line behind the dish machine or a restriction (clog) in the water line. May need to unplug machine and unsecure it to pull it out for inspection. Good luck, best regards.
Hi Steveb6723 ,Just read your posting. Now here is a little test I need you to preform so I can tell if the problem is your water valves or your pressure switch system. Now 1st turn it to a normal cycle and only select the cold fill.Pull the knob out so it starts to fill. Now turn the machine off at the power point,Does the water stop filling straight away?If it does select hot fill and pull the knob. When it starts filling on hot water turn the power off again and see if the water stops straight away. Please reply and tell me if the hot or cold water continued to flow when the power was off.Looking forward to your reply.
Your control cartridge needs to be replaced. If the water is turned on by pulling on the knob you need Moen service part #1225B. If the water is turned on simply by turning the knob counterclockwise you need serviic part #1222. Try to turn the water on briefly after either cartridge is out to flush any debris that might be still in the body of the valve. Get the cartridge beforehand. the come with a handy removal tool.
Remove hot/cold button in handle, remove screw/pull off handle. Remove the two screws in the wall plate/remove plate. Use a wrench to remove the diverter assembly. Get new diverter assy and reinstall eveything. You don't need to turn off the water.
Can you hear it "clicking" when you pull the knob (not the knob sound itself, but the water solenoid itself)?
If you can hear it, then make sure the machine has a water supply (hot / cold). You would be surprised at how many people accidentally turn off the water supply and forget about it.
Try changing the wash settings to cold/cold, etc (the opposite of whichever one you're using now) and see if it will fill.
Let me know the results, and I can help you further.
