When an HD cable box or satellite receiver is connected with HDMI, the information banner in the corner of the screen does not go away when the TV is on that input. The Plasma Display automatically selects an appropriate screen size when video signals are received from a connected HDMI equipment. The TV's attempt to search for aspect ratio information through the HDMI connection can cause the information banner to stay on the screen, if the data is not found. To turn off the Auto Size, please follow these steps: 1 Press HOME MENU. 2 Select (Option). ( / then ENTER) 3 Select (Auto Size). ( / then ENTER) 4 Select (OFF). ( / then ENTER)

The "new device found" screen keeps popping up

Inspect for damaged pin on INPUT 1 socket. (left most of the three HDMI connectors)
A quick pull on the cable can damage the pins.
=== If you see mis-aligned pins then please power off the set before making corrective action. ===
============== Here's a textbook instruction from Mitsubishi
If the New Device Found Screen Displays No HDMI Control Option If the New Device Found screen shows no option for HDMI Control, one of these conditions applies: • HDMI Control is turned off in the menus of the new device Action: a. Highlight EXIT and press ENTER to close the New Device Found screen. b. Display the device's setup menus and enable the device's CEC capabilities. c. Wait for the TV's New Device Found screen to appear again. d. If the New Device Found screen does not appear, power off the device. Power on the device and wait for the New Device Found screen to display with the HDMI Control option.
Next time you see the NEW DEVICE FOUND screen pop up.
Toggle the CEC field (on the right side of the pop up) to OFF.

I just got a 37 inch flat screen. I had it working with my direct TV box. My son pushed a button on the remote and now it will not connect to the direct TV. I need some help.

You will need to look for your input button on the tv or the remote and look at the back of your tv to see where your wires go!!!
You would make sure that the wires go to (input 1) are input2
Then you put your input on input1 are input2 and your wires in input1 are input2 on the back of the tv.
