How much time to we have to charge Samsung Omnia phone

reset the phone to factory.
let the phone die.
charge the phone till 100%
when at 50 % charge again till 100%
let the phone die
Charge to 100%

Ifthe cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be wornout. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cyclesand will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up atall. ORThe battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected thebattery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. Ifthe battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to bereplaced.

Please check the adapter voltage and the charging of the battery when placed for full charging. Once the charging has confirmed to be full remove and try once again to see if the phone indicates. Now clean the terminals and connect. If the battery does not last , it is possible that it must be replaced. Please confirm with a battery from a friend and buy ONLY the original with warranty.

I have the same problem with mine, It charges fine when its turned off and plugged into the wall charger but dussnt recognize the charger when its on. kinda retarded. Could be a manufacturing fault thats coming up now =(.
Planning on sending it in coz its still covered under its warrenty. I suggest you do the same if yours is, otherwise u might just have to charge it from the usb port from now on... kinda dissapointing from samsung, thought they wouldve defntly got everything together after the original omnia failed so much

It could be some application, that is draining the batt. Do a hard reset and see if any better.

Charging does not mean anything as a switched off phone also gets charged. The power switch may be faulty. The internal circuitry may be at fault. if there is some action but does not poweron then the firmware may be at fault.

It looks like battery is damaged... When plugged in to charger phone shouldn't power on. Try put it on charger when on and see if charging icon appear. (top right corner-battery status icon should change -insted of battery to charging.) Battery is fully charged after cca 4 hours, 80% after 2 hours.

you need to hard reset it. it will be like factory setting. follow below procedure to hard reset. you will loose personal data on phone memory like contacts,sms,settings, etc.

1. Press reset pin button ONCE (do not hold)
2. Once you see the Samsung Omnia appears on the screen, immediately press the SEND and END key simultaneously
3. Then the screen appears asking you whether you are sure to format
4. Press SEND to format or END to cancel
