Transferring voice files to PC

I have a problem with transferring data from my Olynpus LS-10 recorder to my PC. When I open My Computer I do not see the drive name and the screen and my LS-10 keeps blinking "Please wait". Also when I put in the SD-card directly into the computer nothing happens. Can you help me? Thanks Jelle Dijkstra Aldtsjerk, The Netherlands

I am not, the only software that came with the recorder was Cubase LE4. Do I need other software? It is not mentioned in the manual. If so, how do I get it?

I have an rca rp5022 voice recorder and when I attempt to transfer the files over to my computer an error screen pops up stating the file is corrupted and unreadable. I can listen to the file on the...

Hello,

the files on your voice recorder is actually corrupted just as the computer is indicating.

I don't know how important these files are to you but I'm afraid you might loose them because they are corrupt.

To fix this problem, you need to format the recorder and by so doing you will loose all your files but the recorder will be okay. You will have to put fresh files on the recorder.

Your computer may have been the one that corrupted the files on your recorder.

To format the recorder, while the recorder is connected to your computer, click start menu, go to computer. You will see a drive representing your recorder, right click on the drive, scroll to format and click it. This will format your drive and your recorder will be fixed.

Note, that you will loose all the files on your recorder in the process of formatting.

Good luck.

Transfer digital recording to computer to make CD

As there is no USB port on this IC Recorder, you can connect the Headphone OUT of the IC Recorder to the LINE IN of the Computer. Then, use any Sound Recorder Software to capture the files. You can also use the Sound Recorder Software preinstalled in the Computer. After transferring the recordings to the Computer, you can use any CD Burning Software to burn the files to a CD.

I am trying to transfer files from my Hotmail account to Olympus

If they are files that someone has emailed to you, they need to first be saved in your C drive somewhere and then you can import them to the DSS software to be able to play them. They cannot be imported directly as an email attachment.

5. Restart the computer.

"Found new hardware" will appear,
7. install automatically.
This may fail, if you see VNUSB device, skip the final steps and proceed to Digital Wave Player to Download files from the Digital Voice Recorder.
If you will see "Other devices" listed in Device manager with "digital voice recorder" underneath it.
8. Right click on the "digital voice recorder"
9. Select update driver from the pop up menu.
10. Choose the browse computer Option
11. In the next window browse to the location that you downloaded the Digital Wave Player application to
12. Click Next

When successfully installed you will see the "other devices" disappear and a VNUSB device with a "VN series device"
underneath it appear at the bottom of the device manager list. There will be a blue question mark next to the device. At this point you can close the device manager and the properties window and open Digital Wave Player. I made a BIG mistake with a RP5120 RCA Digital Voice Recorder

If you remember what file name was given to that file, then use Windows Search option and locate that file any where in computer.
Please don't mention file extension, just put file name in search box.
Hope this trick will work.
