PROBLEM WITH CONNECTION WITH PC VIA 9 PIN VGA MONITOR CABLE
SOURCE: no signal sony bravia to dell laptop
Most laptops have a combination of buttons you have to press on the keyboard to get it to output on the monitor output. Try pressing the FUNCTION KEY or FUNC/FN key usually found in the bottom left hand side of the keyboard. Keep that button held down while press one of the number keys. Usually the number key will have a picture of a TV screen on it. Might be number 8 or 9. Press both keys at the same time a you can switch between laptop screen, Sony LCD or you can have both..

Here's where you can download your manual for free:
http://www.retrevo.com/support/Sony-KDL-26S2010-TVs-manual/id/565bh437/t/2/
I'm sure the manual will tell you how to setup and what settings you need to make on your computer as far as format requirements for the TV.
Good Luck. :)

Most likely this is caused by a defective main board. Changing the main board will fix the issue about 95% of the time.
To be absolutely sure, the voltages need to be checked on the power supply. If they are not the values listed in the service manual, then you should replace the power supply instead (accounts for the other 5% of the time).

Right now your monitor is an extension of your desktop so you can drag any open program or icon to it... If you prefer you can have your TV Mirror(show the same thing) as iMac desktop by going to System Preferences > Displays > [Arrangement] and click Mirror Displays.
