I have a Phaser 7400 and when I print something, there's a faint dark line that runs horizontally across the page. The line isn't as obvious after several copies have been printed, but it's still there. Do I need to call a tech person and have it worked on, or can I fix it myself?
Hi,
You can easily fix this yourself, one of the quickest ways to fix it is to print 10 doublesided blank pages and it will clean the inside of the machine for you and the line will vanish.
For further print quality problems on this machine follow these instructions to troubleshoot.
When troubleshooting image quality problems, it is important to understand the situations in which the problem occurs.
Print a copy of the color test pages to determine whether the problem is in one color or more than one color.
