Click on the "Start" button and then type "Update" into the search box.
Click on "Windows Update" in the box that appears.
Click on "Check for updates" and wait for the updater to scan your system.
Click on the firmware update, if there is one.
If your DVD player's firmware is up-to-date on the right firmware, there will not be an update.
Click "Install Updates" if you have an update available to you and then click "Finish" when it is complete.
Restart your computer.

OSX
Click on the "Apple" button at the top of your Finder.
Click on the "Software Update" tab and wait for the computer to scan for any available updates.
Click on the "DVD Firmware Update" if it is available to you. .
If your DVD player's firmware is up-to-date on the right firmware, there will not be an update.
Click "Install" and wait for the computer to install the update.
Restart your system.

How to install new firmware

he LaCie LaCinema Classic allows you to update its firmware by loading downloaded firmware updates in the Update folder. To update the firmware:
    1. Go to www.lacie.com/support and click on the Downloads link.
    2. Select the most recent LaCinema Classic firmware download. Connect your LaCinema Classic to your computer. Drag the firmware file you just downloaded into the Update folder on the LaCinema Classic. Disconnect the LaCinema Classic from your computer and connect it to your TV.
    3. Go to Browser view from the main menu.
    4. Select the Update folder and press the Play button to open it.
    5. Select update.bin file and press the Play button. The firmware update will begin after you confirmed the action. The update process will take approximately 2 minutes.
    6. When the firmware update is completed, the product will 6. restart automatically and show the main menu.
CAUTION: Never turn off the LaCie LaCinema Classic during the Firmware Update process! Doing so may damage your device. If, for any reason, the procedure fails (e.g. a power failure occurs during the update), you may not be able to use your LaCie LaCinema Classic. Please contact your reseller or LaCie Customer Support for more information.

Before removing the used print head, be sure to update the printer?s firmware version with the included CD-ROM. An error message will be displayed on the printer?s display when the new print head is installed without updating the version. In this case, re-install the used print head and update the firmware version.

Updating the firmware

1. Turn on the power of the printer. Check that the printer is online.

2. Run the file setup.exe in the FirmUpdate folder in the CD-ROM. [GARO Firmware Update Tool] will be installed.

3. Run [GARO Firmware Update Tool] from Programs in the Start menu.

4. By following the instructions, update the firmware version.

The Belkin Router's software (firmware) can be occasionally updated. To check for new updates, go to the Belkin Router Setup page http://192.168.2.1/ . The following choices will appear to update firmware and save current settings:

•Select Firmware Update (Near the bottom of the left-hand panel)
From time to time, Belkin may release new versions of the Router's firmware. Firmware updates contain improvements and fixes to problems that may have existed. Click the link below to see if there is a new firmware update available for this Router.
•Firmware update Options:
Firmware Version > #.##.##
Check for New Firmware Version > [Check Firmware]
Update Firmware > [Enter file name/Browse]

Certain songs on my Sansa m240, will not play

Hi,
If the songs you have are DRM protected then you may need to check with the source from where you've downloaded the track. 
Sometimes, if the Music data base on the device is corrupt, even then you may run into such problems.
follow the instructions below to get the sansa firmware updater to make sure that the firmware for your payer is updated automatically:
METHOD 1 - Download and manually update the Sansa m200 

NOTE: The manual update does NOT support firmware version 4.X.XXX. Refer to METHOD 2 if the firmware on your Sansa m200 is either 4.X.XXX.
 

WARNING: All data on your Sansa m200 will be deleted during the firmware update. Back up all your data before proceeding. 

STEP 1 - Download the Sansa m200 Firmware Updater .exe file and save it to your desktop. 

STEP 2 - Install the Updater 
1. Double-click the downloaded .exe file (sdmx3-iv001.exe). 
2. Click Next

3. Click Yes to agree on the license agreement.

4. Click Next to start installing the program.

STEP 3 - Connect your player to the PC 
1. Turn off your Sansa m200.

1. If it's not installed yet, download and install the Sansa Firmware Updater
2. Slide the HOLD switch to the lock position (orange color will show). 
3. Connect your Sansa m200 to the PC. 
4a. Assuming there's a new firmware available, the following message will appear on your lower right taskbar. Click on the balloon message.

NOTE: If there's no new firmware available, you won't see a balloon message.
 

4b. OPTIONAL: You can also manually run the Sansa Updater from your programs files. Most likely it will be under All Programs > SanDisk > Sansa Updater > Sansa Updater
5. Select the Firmware check box.

After installation of Sansa Firmware Updater
* Please make sure your Sansa player is in MSC mode before plugging it in.
* Plug in your Sansa player and it will automatically check for updates.
