Try checking inside the front right of the soap draw there should be a plastic tab strip with all the settings on it.

You can go to;

and enter a model number. I believe the manual will be "British"

Hi,
I had the same problem when i got my machine, if you slide out the powder and softener tray just behind the face of it on the right hand side you will see a white plastic tab about 2 inchs wide! That plastic tab slides out and has all the programme settings on it!

Doubt that this unit is actually made by Hoover, but they may be able to tell you where to find it, or the manufacturer. Try this:
