On the back of the disc are big rings and the disc won't play
A common problem that XBOX owners are reporting is if the console is moved during play, a whirring noise is heard and then when the disc is removed, very visible laser burn rings are found on the disc.
Laser burn, looks like complete or partial circular scratches around your disc, also known as “ring of death marks”. This occurs to discs when the games console has been moved whilst playing, from an upright to a horizontal position or vice versa or simply knocked against or the wires may have been just tripped upon. Discs are then impaired by a ring of laser burn, which is a circular scratch into the disc. Some home remedies may help with very light scratches on some discs but a professional disc repair service is usually required to repair any scratches or laser burn on discs. They can be fixed!!!

If this laser burn scenario is consistently happening to your game discs especially if the console has not been moved or bumped against while the discs is in play, the games console itself may require repair.
You should contact Microsoft for assessment and guidelines.
Hope this Helps!!!
Are this scratched rings?
This is becoming a known problem with XBox 360 and lawyers in the US are prepairing a lawsuit against Microsoft because they refuse to exchange the damaged discs.
Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do at the moment other than report the problem to Microsoft and keep hold of the scratched cd's just in case in the near future they admit to their problem and they exchange damaged games for customers.
In the meantime, ensure your console is in a place where it will not suffer any kind of vibration to avoid the problem extending to any other discs.

Although this will not really sort your existing problem, I hope it will help you prevent future issues.
One thing you could try is to repair the scratches on the cd. I find that car polish generally works if the scratches are not too deep but you will have to rub the disc for a while with polish.
Big rings as in scratches? if so, buy a device called disk doctor, i use it on all my scratched xbox games and it polishes out the scratchees and basicly makes the disk brand new.

You will probably have to get a new copy of your disk, but there is one other option that is worth a try. If you can find a "CD Repair Kit", try running your disk through that and then see if it will play. A CD Repair kit uses a clear resin to fill in scratches on the surface of a disk, removing the reason that the disk will not play. It does not always work, but a CD repair kit is much cheaper than re-buying a game you have already spent money on. try this one:

This should be able to help you repair your disk. The best part of buying this is that you can use it on any disks that you have that skip or do not play. It will not ALWAYS work, but it is worth a shot -- especially if you spent $50 or more on the disk in the first place.
