Many Panasonic DVD units use a traverse unit (spindle motor/laser assembly) - and the H07 error indicates a failure of this component block (the spindle motor is the part of the unit which fails first).
This part is not repairable, it can only be replaced by a qualified authorised Panasonic technician - then it must be aligned and the firmware updated/configured to the player. The problem with this is the costs involved; a new spindle motor/laser unit (through Panasonic directly) would cost around $200 trade plus the labour/fitting/alignment - it could be a further $200 - making it uneconomical to fix - since this would be about the price of a new player.
However, you can submit the unit to a service centre, for a quote on the likely part/labour cost(s), then make a decision afterwards - whether to go ahead with the repair or cut your losses and buy a new player.
Blu-Ray players (with DVD playback support) are becoming cheaper to buy nowadays while repairs to DVD players become more expensive. It's up to you.
The 265/277v units will not work in a 208/230v hotel without a transformer. Basically you do not want to get involved with that. When replacing your PTACs stick with the proper voltage. As far as a conversion kit, if one exists, the cost will put you right back at the cost of a new unit. If your hotel is wired for 208/230v it won't give the unit the power it needs to function properly. When looking for replacement units here's what you need to match (besides getting the proper BTUs): Voltage Unit size (make sure they fit in your existing sleeves) Power cord configuration (the 265/277v will have a different power plug) Good Luck!
First you need to buy the correct USB lead that will connect you unit to your PC. They can cost upto £19 brand new.
Then you need to go to myGarmin and register your unit ID with the secure website. Because you will already have maps already on the unit you can buy lifetime updates for £99.
You may have to perfom an unit update prior to the map updates as you have never hooked it up the Garmin website.
u go to www.mygarmin.com, register the unit and then click updates, I assume you are talking about maps, if so the cost I think for the update is $125.00
I have this same unit, the cost of the new maps is more than I paid for the unit on Ebay.
Didn't see any solutions listed other then buying the premium assistence.
