I have some exposure problems (I think) with Kodak EasyShare DX4330

Check the settings that influence the exposure when your camera is in manual mode. There are three variables that you can adjust to change the exposure: ISO sensitivity, aperture (diaphragm) and shuttertime. When for instance the ISO is set to 100, aperture to F16 and shutterspeed to 1/1000 you will need a huge amount of light to get anything else than black pictures.
In a normal daylight situation you should get some results when using approximately the following settings: ISO100, F5.6 and 1/60 shutterspeed. Adjust these settings depending the light conditions and the results you get.

Most likely the capacitor or xenon flash bulb is bad. If you're a techhie of sorts, you might be able to fix it yourself, just make sure you discharge the capacitor when you open the camera up (in case it's still good, and charged). With the low prices on digital cameras today, it would probably be better to buy a new one than have it repaired, and keep this camera as a backup.

If the pictures are black on the camera, and when you view them on the PC, the problem is with the imager of the camera. Unfortunately, it is time for a repair...

HAVE YOU TRIED USING ANY OF THE OTHER SETTINGS ON THE CAMERA IN THE DAYTIME? I.E., LIKE IN MOTION, LOW LIGHT, BEST SETTING, ETC. ARE THEY ALL THE SAME?DO THE LINES SHOW UP ON THE LCD DISPLAY? SOUNDS LIKE A PROBLEM WITH THE DAYLIGHT SENSORS INPUTING BAD INFO TO THE CAMERA. HAVE YOU TRIED THE ALMOST WORTHLESS KODAK CUSTOMER SERVICE WEBSITE? THIS SOUNDS LIKE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR CAMERA THAT IS ONLY HAPPENING DURING DAYLIGHT EXPOSURE.

Maybe your picture is to light... try taking it to Black & white... and then to Cartoon. I know that the Coloring Book effect does that to my over exsposed pics a lot

Unscrew some of the screws (the ones you can manage to remove), press on the little connector on the bottom, put some batteries in and try it. When I put the batteries in, it worked for me, and so I screwed it back up, and it's continued working pretty much. I think something might have gotten loose on these cameras. I thought mine was through, but it seems to work now!
