I have Fatel Error 17H message. What does this mean?
I also have a message saying my cyan is empty, this has persisited over the changing of 3 toners. I can print but the message never goes away.
I have a MagiColor 2350 that says Cyan Replace and will not print. I have replaced the Cyan twice and turned off the printer for over 5 minutes. There is a procedure for overriding the error, but even after doing that, it will not print.I have a MagiColor 2350 that says Cyan Replace and will not print. I had the same problem and found that one of the toner cartridges must have not been seated properly. I removed the black toner cartridge and re-fitted it. The printer now works fine again with no errors. 17H is a code relating to a fault in the rotation ......... possibly one or more toner cartridges need checking. Use the menu on the printer to turn it to the appropriate position (i.e. engine menu then select replacement of whichever toner you are checking).
Hope this fixes your as well.
Chris
First turn the printer off , Wait 1 minute and turn it back on. If the message .REPLACE TONER. appears for two or more toner cartridges, we recommend replacing the toner cartridges in the following order, which also increases the efficiency of the procedure. (Warm-up time: 2 minutes)
If the toner cartridges are not replaced in the following order, two minutes for each additional toner color will be added to the warm-up time. (Warm-up time: Maximum 2 minutes)
(1) Cyan (C) → (2) Black (K) → (3) Yellow (Y) → (4) Magenta (M)
Example 1: If the message .REPLACE TONER. appears for both the black (K) and cyan (C) toner cartridges, replace the cyan (C) toner cartridge first. (Warm-up time: 2 minutes)
Example 2: If the message .REPLACE TONER. appears for both the black (K) and magenta (M) toner cartridges, replace the black (K) toner cartridge first. (Warm-up time: 2 minutes)
Example 3: If the message .REPLACE TONER. appears for the black (K), cyan (C) and yellow (Y) toner cartridges, replace the toner cartridges in the following order: cyan (C), black (K), yellow (Y). (Warm-up time: 2 minutes)
Example of incorrect procedure: If the message .REPLACE TONER. appears for the black (K), cyan (C) and yellow (Y) toner cartridges, the toner cartridges are replaced in the following order: yellow (Y), black (K), cyan (C). (Warm-up time: 6 minutes)

Error 17H is a rack rotation failure: The toner cartridge(s) may not be sitting
correctly, which would be the easiest fix - otherwise you have to carefully examine the inner workings of the printer itself, to see what is causing the rack to get jammed or slowed down at some point along the way.
Check your toner cartridges, one of them is seized up. Remove all cartridges and turn the gear on the right side backwards ( counterclockwise) about 10 times and see if it turns smoothly. I don't know why but 90% of the time its the cyan that gets stuck.
yes 2 things. 1 bad sensor. 2 bad paper. change paper brand and type. use hammil mill 20# long grain brightness90 and above to test. if this works you need better paper. if not you have a bad jam sensor and need a tech to repair ir.
17H is the Rack Rotation error. If your toners are not rotating correctly, or if you have the wrong type (IE 2400 series toners in a 2500 series printer) you will get this error.
Most likely you received this message after a toner was replaced. Reseat the cartridge and restart the printer. If that doesn't work remove all of the toner cartridges manually and reinstall.
Turn off the printer and open the top cover. Follow the toner cartridge all the way to the right side of the printer (on the white part). You should see a hole that looks like a cross. Take a pen or key and push down on the black button in that hole. While you are holding it down rotate the toner cartridge towards you. You want to get the colored roller on the cartridge about 1/2in away from the metal bar that says "consumable reorder". You should be in a position to take out the toner. Let go of the hole and remove the cartridge. Repeat the steps until all of the cartridges have been removed.
Turn the printer back on at this point. You are going to get toner not installed messages on the printer. Open the top cover and the cyan tray will be in place. Shake the toner and install. Close the cover and let it cycle to the next color (black). Repeat the process until all cartridges are installed.
If you are still getting the error you either have a bad cartridge or the carousel that the toners sit in is damaged.
had printer for approximately 2 years. Used daily in office setting. today the printer tried to print, then just stopped and it said fatal error 17H in the window. We cleared paper jam and rebooted, gives the same error message. Anything we can do?
Rack rotation failure, I'm not 100% that this is that error, but does the rack, where the toner are move ? if not, move it with manually a little bit then restart printer.
