Your mach depending on model and cycle selected has a 3 to 5min "add a garment" feature.that means in the 1st 3-5mins of cycles when add a garment light is lit you may hit pause button once and the mach will stop and unlock door.after add a gament light is off,if u hit pause the cycle the mach will drain water and reset cycle..hope this helps

My Lg too load washer sprays water during spin cycle

It is normal for a washer to spin and spray fresh water over the clothes during rinse period. I don’t know why it would leave clothes wet. Look at your options. See if you can turn off rinse n spin to just spin.

Zanussi Washer Dryer wont wash!

Sounds like the switch that tells the controller that the door is closed and locked is actually bad or the plastic molded part holding the switch is broken. Inspect the interface for cracks.

I load the clothes into the washing machine, I turn it on select cycle and the door locks and will NOT unlock. The door will however unlock after the cycle is finished.

Not sure if you're unable to open the door AFTER you stop the cycle. That may be normal operation as a safety measure (won't open until after your cycle has completed). However, if your model DOES allow for opening the door during cycle operations then your electronic door lock may be defective.

My lg door will not unlock

this kind of door lock is called PTC door lock.It is designed for protecing you from opening the dooe during the washing and spining cycles which may hurt you.So, if you want to open the dooe during cycles, pls press "stop",then ,wait 2 mins, you will be able to open it by then.the other situation is that, the power is cut off during working cycles, solution is:re-start the washer and directly open the door.Pls note that this kind of lock has to work under power

Maytag MAH8700 - NP error code - Door locked and won't open

I don't know if you are aware of this, but Maytag did a recall on this washer in March 2007 where there was a risk of water leaking into the control panel and shorting out the board. You can follow this link to see if your washer was affected based on the serial number:

http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml07/07135.html.

Here is a link to your user manual to see if it offers any help. The only thing I saw was to use the Cycle Selector button to unlock the door.

http://shared.whirlpoolcorp.com/assets/pdfs/literature/DC6802030B01.PDF

I found this on the Maytag site:

Is the door locked and the Add A Garment or Add Clothes light off?
If the Add A Garment or Add Clothes light is off, then the washer door will unlock after the Pause/Off or Pause/Cancel button is pressed twice. The door will not immediately unlock while the cycle is running due to a possible high-water level in the washer, high-water temperature, tumbling or spinning. It may take up to five minutes for the washer to stop spinning and draining before the door will unlock. You will hear the door click when it unlocks.

You could also try their customer service number to see if they have a script for this problem: 1-800-688-9900

The only other solution I can offer is to disassemble your washer if its that urgent and you can't get a repairman out there.

Unplug the machine. Remove the bottom access panel (three torx screws along the bottom). Reach up under the area where the door lock is and feel for a round door release mechanism. Pull down and the door will unlock
